Five Types of Meditation That Can Help with Stress

Teacher, author and mentor, Zhang Xinyue from China believes and teaches that we can all benefit by meditating each week. In fact, if your schedule allows it, try meditating daily to see if this relieves your stress. As we learn more about this topic, we find that meditation has been around for thousands of years. As time has gone by, new types of meditation have been developed to help with specific problems.

Since stress is such a big issue for many people, Zhang Xinyue has chosen five types of meditation that she believes will help the most.

Begin by closing your eyes and taking several deep breaths. Focus on the universe. See the sky and the stars. The sky is dark and filled with twinkling stars. Continued to breathe deeply as you listen to music and meditate on the vastness of the universe. Stay in this place for as long as feels comfortable to you.

Mindfulness meditation: This type is about reflecting on all the good in your life.

Zen meditation: This is age-old and helps the individual to focus their thoughts on a specific phrase or idea.

Spiritual meditation: This type focuses on a supreme Being, a creator.

Chakra meditation: There are 7 Chakras or centers of energy in the body. Picture each one and its corresponding color.

Yoga: Start with simple yoga movements. Keep your mind clear and concentrate on your movements.

In her book Create Abundance, Zhang Xinyue states, “An enlightened one lives a life as others do on the surface, but it is different in essence for every moment embodies the budding of wisdom, a spontaneous adjustment and joy that supervenes.”
